In this podcast/blog post I discuss the 3 Ways The Ugly Duckling Can Make You A Better Tweeter.

1) Personal Transformation For The Better-We should want to help each other out for the better. We use twitter to share information and to get it. We use it as a form a communication to keep in touch. We tweetup with tweeple whom we have only known through twitter. Spread positive information through the twitosphere, so that it may come back around!

2) No Verbal Abuse-Do not slander or belittle tweeple on twitter. It is very important to not spread negative tweets throughout the twitosphere. As the Buddha says “Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace.” So pleace be a peaceful tweeter.

3) Don’t be afraid to meet new twitterers-Be sure to be using twitter search to get out there and meet new tweeple! Also use #hashtags to follow realtime conversations in twitter! So get out there and get your tweet on!

The FREE Guide to Making Your OWN Video Products! Today, people are looking for something that they can actually respond to in place of the usual Ebooks and special reports being provided across the net. Now, more than ever, there is a challenge for the internet marketer to come up with a novel way to entice people into buying a particular product or service. Certainly the product which seems to be able to do this is the video product. Video is becoming one of the biggest marketing tools around today. In this E book, we will look at what you need and how you go about making your own video product for the internet. There are many reasons as to why the video product is now starting to surpass the written word, and below are just a number of reasons.

1.You will find that people respond better to what they can see and hear, rather than what they can just read.

2.People are more stimulated when they watch something that they will enjoy.

3.It is a great way of conveying information more clearly and demonstrating the product more effective using a video rather than with the written word.

4.Using this method you are able to present the information in a clearer, and certainly more often than not, in a concise manner.

5.These are often viewed as being more professional than their counterparts, such as E books.

In fact, for many people today, the video product is easily the better option compared to the more conventional options available. But there is one problem that most internet marketers seem to face when using this medium, in that it seems to be a complicated process to actually create one.

However, as long as you have the right knowledge on how to proceed, then this should not be the case. In fact, creating a video product should be as easy as making a cake. But first of all, we need to take a look at the steps that are essential in order for you to produce a good quality video product.

1.Select a subject. It is best that you choose one with which you are already familiar.

2.Select a particular aspect of the subject that you want to discuss in your video. Remember, it must be both engaging and helpful to all your future customers.

3.Prepare an outline on how you will discuss this part of the subject.

4.Carry out any research you need in order to make sure that you have everything at hand.

5.If you are producing a video on a subject that involves a certain niche, then get yourself a digital camcorder in order to record the appropriate material. You can then decide whether you want to add audio during real time (when actually filming) or during the editing process.

6.If your video involves online tutorials, then you need to get yourself a screen capture program. You can download one from many sites, such as camtasia.com. This allows you to capture your computer screen movements in .avi format. Plus, it allows you to record the audio in real time, or you may prepare a different audio file by using Windows Sound Recorder and then synchronizing the two formats later on.

7.You will now need to edit the product using a video editing software program (which we will look at in more detail later on in this book). There are certainly plenty of these software programs available for sale, but Windows XP comes with a movie maker program already.

8.Should you be choosing to offer this product as a download to your customers, you will then need to convert the file into a .wmv format in order to compress its size.

9.However, if you decide to physically deliver this video product to your customers, you will need to burn it on to a CD or DVD and then prepare to ship them.

10.Once all the above stages have been completed, your video product is now ready to be marketed. In fact, as you can see from the above, there is nothing really complicated about producing your own video product. To be honest, anyone could do it, if they tried. There are plenty of applications around that will help you to achieve your goal of making a good quality video product for the internet.

If you want, you could do the following:

Social networking, we have all likely heard of it before, but not everyone knows what it means?
If you were asked to define what social networking was, would you be able to give an accurate definition. Unfortunately, most individuals cannot, even though it is likely that they participate in some form of social networking, especially online.

Social networking is defined as the grouping of individuals together into to specific groups, often like a small community or a neighborhood. Although social networking is possible in person, especially in schools or in the workplace, it is most popular online. This is because unlike most high schools, colleges, or workplaces, the internet is filled with millions, if not more, of individuals who are looking to meet other internet users and develop friendships.

When it comes to social networking online, websites are used. These websites are known as social networking websites. Social networking websites are, in a way, like an online community of internet users. Depending on the social networking website in question, many of these online community members share a common bond, whether that bond be hobbies, religion, or politics. Once you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize. This socialization may include reading the profiles or profile pages of other members or even contacting them.

The friends that you can make are just one of the many benefits to social networking online. Another one of those benefits includes diversity. Unlike in most schools or workplaces, the internet gives individuals, from all around the world, access to social networking sties. This means that although you are in the United States, you could develop an online friendship with someone in Japan. Not only will you make a new friend, you but may also learn a thing or two about a new culture.

As previously mentioned, social networking often involves grouping specific individuals or organizations together. While there are a number of social networking websites that focus on particular interests, there are others that do not. These websites are often deemed traditional social networking websites. These types of websites typically have an open membership. This means that anyone can become a member, no matter what their hobbies, beliefs, or views are. However, once you are inside this online community, you can begin to create your own network of friends; thus eliminating others that do not meet your criteria.

If networking on the internet sounds like something you would be interested in, you are encouraged to learn more about it, such as the dangers of social networking. These dangers often involve online predators or individuals who claim to be someone that they are not. Although danger does exist with networking online, it also exists with networking out in the real world. As when you are meeting friends at a bar, school, or work, you are advised to proceed with caution online. By being aware of your surroundings and who you are talking to, you should be able safely enjoying social networking online. Once you have learned everything that you feel you need to learn, about social networking online, you can begin to search for networking communities to join. This can easily be done by performing a standard internet search. Your search will likely return a number of results, including MySpace, Facebook, Linkedin, and Ning.

In this free ebook, we will look at what Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is, and the ways in which it can be used. Through this ebook, we will provide you with the basics on using Search Engine Optimization in order to improve traffic flow to your site.
By many people, SEO is considered to be a part of search engine marketing. It is often used when people are describing a process for improving the amount of traffic that goes to a website from various different search engines. Many site owners will engage in using SEO in an attempt to obtain qualified visitors to their site. The quality of these visitors will often be measured by what specific keywords they are using in order to reach the desired result they want, such as making a purchase, or it could just viewing or downloading a particular page on that site. It may be that the visitor just requests some further information, or they sign up to a newsletter.
Search Engine Optimization is a marketing strategy which can often generate a good return for the site. But what must be remembered is that search engines are not actually paid for the traffic they send to a site from a natural (organic) search. Plus, they will regularly change the algorithms that they use for these searches to be carried in an effort to improve the results for people using their search engine. In fact, there is no guarantee that using this system is successful in either the long or short term for any website. Because of this, SEO is often compared to traditional forms of PR (Public Relations), while PPC (Pay per Click) advertising is more closely associated with traditional forms of advertising.
However, even if you do find you have increased traffic to your site because of SEO, if your site is unprepared for this increased traffic, it may in fact be detrimental to your site, as visitors will go away feeling dissatisfied and will not return.
But though SEO can be considered as a marketing tactic which is a law unto itself, it is often considered to part of the bigger picture by many industry experts.

A blog is basically an online journal wherein you can digitally pen down your thoughts, ideas, opinions and practically anything that you want people to read. Blogs come in different styles, formats, and settings, depending on the preference of the user. Many blogging sites, offer built in features such as hyperlink, straight texts, pictures etc. Some blogging sites, even allow you to put video and mp3’s on your blogs.

Instead of writing texts, some bloggers choose to make their blogs more audio friendly, by using spoken word entries. This is called audio blogging.

Basically a blog contains these features:

title- which allows you to label your post body- this is the content of your post trackback- other sites can be linked back to your blog permanent link- every article that you write has a URL comments- this allow readers to post comments on your blog.

One of the advantages of blogging, is that it is made of only a few templates. Unlike, other websites that is made up of numerous individual pages. This make it easier for blog users to create new pages, because it already has a fix setting that include: slots for title, body of the post, category, etc.

This is especially useful for first time users, since they can start blogging right away. They can chose from a number of templates that blogging websites provide.

Anyone who wants to start a blog can do so by becoming a member of a blogging website of their choice. Once they’ve become members, they automatically become a part of that particular blogging community. They can browse through other bloggers pages, and link them back to their own blogs. They can also make comments on other members’ blogs.

Blogging is not just limited to personal usage. There are a lot of blogs that follow a theme such as: sports, politics, philosophy, social commentary, etc. These blogs espouse on their specific themes. This way blogging becomes a medium in which people can share their knowledge and opinions about a variety of themes and topics.

Some bloggers even use their blogs as a means to advertise. Some authors advertise their books on their blogs. While other bloggers, use their blogs to shed light to currents issues, events, news and catastrophes.

Nowadays in education, blogs also play an important part. Professors use blogging to document the lessons that they have discussed and taught. This way, students who who have missed classes, can easily catch up with their assignments.

A lot of entrepreneurs benefit from blogging by promoting their businesses on their blogs, with millions and millions of people logging onto the net everyday, blogging has become a lucrative move. Some bloggers who run online businesses promote their merchandise online. While others profit through advertisement.

But by far, the most popular blog type is the one that takes the form of a personal journal. This is the kind that is usually used by first time bloggers. Individuals who want to document the daily struggle of their everyday lives, poems, rants, opinions, find that blogging offers them a medium in which to express themselves.

Bloggers usually communicate within themselves. This is one of the appeals of blogging. It creates a community of people sharing their ideas, thoughts, and comments with each other.

Blogs varying in topics, themes, and set-ups, can be found in blog directories. First time users who want to get an idea of what the blogging world is all about can browse through a number of blogs using these directories. This way they’d get an idea of what these blogging communities are like.

Blogging is popular all over the world. Blog is short for the term weblog. There are no rules when it comes to blogging. Bloggers have the freedom to express themselves how ever way they want, and the best thing about blogging, is that most blogging sites are free.

There are numerous blogging websites to choose from in the net. This give first time users the option of joining a blogging community that appeals to their interests.

Just search any blogging directory and you’d get a listing of a lot of blogging sites that are available on the net. It’s easy to search a blogging directory, because it is organized according to category. This way you would get exactly what you are after. Blogging is really for everyone. It is fun, simple and easy.

I recommend Blogger.com or Wordpress for first time bloggers. So let your story be told!

Here is what Aaron I. suggest for good usability for landing pages and websites in general:

Make sure that the user can navigate through the site to the desired end results efficiently. Is the navigation clear and easy to follow? Are the links/buttons easy to click? (you would be surprised) Does the link text properly define the page it is linking to? Make sure that the content is given proper value. Is it concise? Does it tell the story? Is it lost in the style/look and feel of the site? We must remember that the content is why someone has come to the site in the first place. Will the usability marry well with the style? Can you make the site a great visual experience without sacrificing the desired end result? Will it still function well in all browsers? Is it accessible? If you can marry these two elements you are almost guaranteed a great end result. (We will talk about this more in part 3 of the series “Visual Appeal”) Starting with those three elements as a base will offer a good foundation for building a great user experience that is very usable and convenient.

I realized that Usability can be it’s own series, and that I am really just touching on the tip of the iceberg. Hopefully this will inspire us to look deeper into defining a good user experience starting with Usability, and as we look at each aspect we can build a good foundation for creating well balanced high quality user experiences.

Please feel free to post your thoughts, comments, additions. Mention anything I may have left out at thisisaaronslife.com

The term is often used on the Internet. The word infopreneur was registered as a trademark (USPTO) on February 1st 1984 by Harold F. Weitzen. In 1988, H. Skip Weitzen published “Infopreneurs: Turning Data Into Dollars” (John Wiley & Sons).

Before the explosive popularity of the Internet, at the turn of the millennium, such an occupation already existed. Prior to the wide-spread availability of the Internet, these legacyaudio tapes, audio CDs, CD-ROMs, videos, talk shows, and conferences. The classification of infopreneur has created a new style of business on the Internet, which allows anybody with a computer and an Internet connection to start a businesses by publishing information that may appeal to a specific market. inforpreneurs sold their information in other mediums such as

There are generally two kinds of infopreneurs: those that sell information they have amassed on their own and those that earn commissions from selling information that they know nothing about. The latter may be considered more of a “information trafficker”.-wikipedia

In this podcast, you will learn the basics of an infopreneur. Find a skill to become an expert in:

The easiest way to make money online is to ‘sell’ a skill. This skill could be any form of service that you can provide to help other marketers save time, save money and save effort.

Here are a few examples:

• Writing – you can become a ghostwriter, copywriter or blogger and sell your skills to other marketers

• Graphics Design – you can create powerful E-covers for E-books or graphic banners for mini-sites

• Technical – you can help people if you are good with programming (e.g. script installation, testing and website setup)

• Networking – help other people to recruit affiliates for their product launches If you want to develop the winning mindset, make sure you work hard by serving others first even if the pay is low or you are required to sacrifice time (and sometimes, money) in order to develop your skill and build your clientele.

Create Your Own Product

After you develop enough expertise with your skills, you can turn your skills into a product. The most important thing to remember is that your skill must be something that brings value to others. If you can bring value to others and monetize it, others will most probably want to learn from you as well.

Once you teach others how to monetize their skill, you will have a product that will impart your expertise to others. For example: a product that teaches people “how to make money with copywriting”

Create A Business

Once you are able to combine all your products together and develop your very own system, you have a business running already.

The important thing to remember about a business is that you must have a holistic approach when it comes to business building.

Don’t just focus on your primary skill alone. Try and outsource other tasks to other people. For example, if your strength is in writing, your business must not only include writing but many other aspects such as graphics, tutorials and even a helpdesk to help you answer questions. At the end of the day, you need a complete system to market your business.

Automating Your Business

If your business is taking up too much of your time, the best thing you can do is to try and automate your business by letting others run it for you. Basically you still maintain ownership of your business (and revenue, of course). But what you must do is to train up people who are capable of running the business for you. By the time your business is successful enough to be automated, you can hire people who are smarter than you to run it for you.

The trade off is that you have to pay them a lot of money, but the best thing you have is more free time. When you buy people’s time with your money, you effectively remove the shackles that your business has on your time and you can use that time to invest into another business. Remember the golden rule: Think BIG and think long term.

Usernamecheck.com was shown to me on twitter! This is the ultimate quick “n” easy solution to a question that people often ask “Do I have my username registered with every social network and social media site that I should? The site simply works by pinging the site using the username you want to check, if it returns an available sign, then you can swoop it up. If not it will say taken, then your out of luck. The site uses Dojo as it does all the checks using Ajax. So, Happy Pinging and make sure your username is only dominated by you!

A podcast is defined as an online radio setup to an RSS feed that updates automatically to it’s subscribers. It also provides links to sound or video files that can be downloaded and watched or listened to by the subscriber. The podcast is intended to be, the free distribution of information. The credibility and recognition that is associated with the term in order to boost their own popularity. On the other hand, the podcast may be where the rest of the industry is headed. Although the technology was first adopted by independent media groups that enjoyed it because of the low cost of distribution and the close possible ties to end users, that may change when podcasting becomes a wider phenomenon. If podcasting is adopted by more mainstream and/or corporate entities, then the face of podcasting is likely to change to one where a profit plan is required. The advantage of podcasting is direct distribution of the media files to the user’s home computer quickly and easily and is not lost if the system moves to one revolving around profit. As much as locked media files that restrict distribution may be pointless to free information junkies that currently dominate podcasting, however there is little to stop those who want to use the system to make a profit from doing so.
